-- To update on the Scott Hall/ICP situation at Turning Point, Insane Clown Posse was in fact scheduled to appear at ringside however Hall was not. TNA and ICP’s JCW company had a verbal agreement for a little ringside cameo from ICP to help get over their J.W.O. (Juggalo World Order) gimmick. There is no working agreement between the two sides nor any exchange of money, but rather just a friendly one-time promotional angle to get some buzz. There is no heat on anybody, although TNA was not happy about Hall being there. ICP and Hall were asked to leave between the Beer Money vs. Motor City Machineguns match and the Christian vs. Booker T match. They went backstage and said their goodbyes before leaving the building. There are conflicting reports about whether Hall was actually drunk or not, but he did leave without causing a scene and the cops were never called despite some rumors.
-- There was noticeable use of “canned heat” during the second half of TNA’s Turning Point 2008 PPV on Sunday, where they played crowd noises over the speakers. They had some trouble picking up the real crowd noises for the viewers at home, which is a problem the company also faced at Bound For Glory. TNA is pretty late jumping on the canned heat wagon, as WWE has been using it for almost a decade as did WCW during their heyday.
